Behold the proud, His soul is not upright in him; but the just shall live by his faith.
~ Habakkuk 2:4~

What does it mean to live by faith? How can we do that? By looking to God in every situation we face, because He is our shield and our defender. The battle isn't ours, but His. God is our father, and He has good gifts for us and nothing that happens to us is without His consent or knowledge.

Even the bad things that happen to us are allowed by God, and we need to trust Him and know that we are in His hands, even when we are afraid. Remember that there is no fear in love. We need to surrender our fear to Him; after all, isn't He greater than our fear? Is He so weak that our problems cannot be solved by Him? He is the God of the impossible, and He can handle our problems. We need to have faith in Him, or continue to walk in fear and be tormented.

Lord, as I face situations in my life that frighten me, help me to cling to my faith in You, for You are able to deliver me. Strengthen my faith today, Lord...help me to nurture it and let the light of Your love encourage it to grow. Help me to remember that perfect love casts out fear, and that You are my deliverer.

In Jesus' name,
Amen
